The results are reported of the first interhemisphericmodel of the 7320 A airglow covering midand low latitudes, at alllongitudes. A comprehensive model of the ionosphere and thermo-sphere is used to compute volume emission rates as a function ofaltitude, latitude, longitude, and local time. Selected results areshown here to illustrate the computational capability. In particularwe discuss the diurnal and seasonal variability and interhemisphericcoupling of conjugate photoelectrons. The model is particularly wellsuited for airglow studies, and provides a valuable tool for thecomparison, interpretation, and planning of spectroscopic observa-tions made from orbiting platforms for all significant thermosphericemissions.
